Google Tests Favicons For Top Stories

Google loves testing favicons, they do it all the time, and now Google is testing favicons in the top stories carousel. I am personally able to replicate it using my Mac on Chrome Incognito mode. Jon Henshaw first spotted it and posted it on Twitter yesterday.

Google has tested showing favicons in search so so many times including 2018, 2017, in 2013, in 2009 and other times. In fact, we have skipped covering a lot of these tests many times because it is so common.

However, in this test, the favicons show in the top carousel and not in the main snippets.
