Google will be migrating Travel campaigns to the new Search campaigns for Travel in Google Ads. This is happening sometime in the third quarter of 2026; we do not have a specific date.
Google posted this notice on multiple help documents including at the top of this one and it says:
Important: Starting Q3 2026, Travel campaigns will be migrated to new Search campaigns for Travel. Following this migration, new Search campaigns for Travel will be automatically created while mirroring the closest equivalent settings from your original Travel campaigns. You can also choose to manually transition your campaigns to Search campaigns for Travel before the migration. Check your account notifications and email for precise dates.
This notice is saying:
- Timeline: Migration begins in Q3 2026.
- Core Change: Existing Travel campaigns will transition to new Search campaigns for Travel.
- Automatic Setup: New campaigns will be automatically created, mirroring your original campaign settings as closely as possible.
- Manual Option: You can manually transition your campaigns before the automated migration begins.
- Action Required: Keep an eye on your email and account notifications for exact dates.
