Google has a special Google logo, aka Google Doodle, for the 107th birthday of the Little Nemo comic strip which appeared the New York Herald and William Randolph Hearst's New York American newspapers.
The strip was known as Little Nemo in Slumberland and then In the Land of Wonderful Dreams between 1905 to 1927.
Google has a special interactive comic strip logo for the day.
First, here is the logo you would see on the inside of the Google search pages in larger format:
Now here is the full size, click on it to see it in higher resolution and larger full size format:
It is interesting that Google is celebrating the anniversary of the comic strip as opposed to the author of the comic strip. Typically, Google celebrates the person behind the contribution versus the contribution itself - if that makes sense.
The Googlers behind this Doodle include +Ryan Germick, +Jennifer Hom and +Corrie Scalisi.
