Favorite thing about the SEM community? The SEO community is really a special group of people. It takes a certain type of person to be drawn to search engine optimization. My favorite part is that feeling of opportunity. Search engine optimization experts are always focused on growth, looking for new opportunities and love being on the cutting edge. They are at the forefront of technology, innovative and constantly pushing the boundaries. The SEO community is the most vibrant community in digital marketing. Its a joy to talk about what is working with top minds.
One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Don't focus on what is working today or what was working yesterday. Focus on what will be working 3 months from now. I see so many only strategies still being used. I actually read a post the other day that said SEO has not changed in 10 years. I recommend being forward thinking. Finally, if you have some success think to yourself, what if I doubled that initiative, trippled that initiative or even 10x it? Could I get 10 times the return? That is how you scale a website.
Favorite things in general? My favorite thing to do is exercise, study digital marketing, innovate and scale. I do cardio every morning, usually while studying digital marketing. I play soccer twice a week and surf about the same. I'm really active and like to move quick.
What you want to be known for in the SEO space? I think one thing that sets me apart is that I only promote strategies that actually work, that I have verified and seen excellent success with. I create clear systems and process for how to achieve results with those systems and scale them. In SEO, people are doing one million different things. Often, they spend time working on things that don't matter much to businesses bottomline.
When you work with me, you know that we have built a clear system around every process, you will know that process works and it can be scaled. You also know that process is tied directly to results and ROI, its not simply "something you can do." I also won't share any mis-information.
Outside of that, I'm really strong at viral marketing, technical SEO, international SEO, local SEO, you name it. I've been doing this all day every day for a long time and worked with some of the biggest sites online. There is not a lot I have not seen. Also, I spend a decent amount of time in the other marketing channels. Really, my goal is to be the most effective digital marketing strategiest in the world. I always say, my business mission is to help other through digital marketing. So I am working daily to make that happen.
