Today is the 125th birthday of the late Spanish painter, Juan Gris. To celebrate his contributions to the world, Google has a special logo worldwide symbolizing his work in the form of a Google Doodle.
Here is a picture of the Google Logo in the form of Cubism art, an art he helped innovate.
Juan Gris was born on March 23, 1887 in Madrid, Spain. He passed away at the young age of 40 on May 11, 1927. He left behind a wife, Josette, and a son, Georges.
One of his pieces of art sold for $28.6 million in November 2010. But he did live when another piece of his art sold for $20.8 million in 1915. Which would likely be valued at $472.4 million today, with inflation.
