Lotte Reininger Google Doodle

Today on Google.com is a special Google logo, aka Doodle, for Lotte Reininger. Lotte Reininger was a German animator, film director and the "pioneer of silhouette animation." To represent her work on her 117th birthday Google's Doodlers made a video logo in the style of her film work.

She has created over 40 films in her career and the Google Doodle really does represent her in really nice taste.

She was born on June 2, 1899 in Charlottenburg, Germany and died at the age of 82 on June 19, 1981 also in Germany. You can see a list of her 40+ films over here.
