Speak A Single Google Search In Multiple Languages

Google Voice SearchGoogle launched Voice Search on their home page for desktop users in June of this year. Personally, I never use it, but I suspect some do.

I spotted an interesting idea on how to make voice search even cooler via the Google Web Search Help forums.

There are many people in this world who speak multiple languages. Many of those people, when talking naturally, actually mix the languages together in many conversations they have with family and friends. I am not sure what the term is for speaking different languages in the same sentence but I am sure there is a term for it.

That being said, wouldn't it be neat to speak multiple languages in your Google voice query and have Google understand it? That is the user submitted idea.

In fact, Sarah from Google replied saying:

That's a really cool idea. I imagine this would be extra useful for our users in Europe who live in very close proximity to multiple languages. Truly great suggestion. My suggestion: don't stop at three! :)

I do wonder what percentage of American's do this, I am sure it isn't that small.
