As you know, Google has graduated the Google Search Console out of beta and with that, added a new live feature for the URL Inspection tool and also brought in the manual actions section into the tool. Google also cleaned up the side bar navigation to access these features.
Manual Actions
The manual actions viewer doesn't really have any new functionality from the old version but it is redesigned a bit. Google wrote "To ensure that you don't miss any critical alerts for your site, active manual actions and security issues will be shown directly on the Overview page in the new console. In addition, the Manual Actions report has gotten a fresher look in the new Search Console."
Here is a full size screen shot where you can see both the side bar menu redesign and the new look for the manual actions:
I do not have any manual actions, but if you did, you can submit a reconsideration request. Here is a screen shot from Google:
New Side Bar
As you see in the image above, Google has cleaned up the side bar, organized a bunch of the functionality added some more links to the footer.
Live URL Inspection Tool
The URL inspection tool which shows the information Google has based on last indexed date now let's you test live URLs that may have been updated or not yet in the Google index. It also lets you submit the URL for indexing to Google.
The issue I am having is the Live URL feature to work.
Here is the "test live" button, and also note the "request indexing" link as well:
When you click the test live button, it says it can take a minute or two:
Then it dies out with a "something went wrong" error:
So there you go.
When you click request indexing, it shows it is working:
And then if approved, it gives you this confirmation:
To learn more, see the Google blog post and as I said, Google is still working on bringing more features to the new version.

Update: The Live test is now working for me a day later.
