Google's Birthplace: The Gates Computer Science Building At Stanford

Danny Sullivan visited Stanford University the other day and posted a picture of the Gates Computer Science Building.

As Danny said in his Google+ post, "The Gates Building at Stanford where, ironically, Google was born."

Yes, that is where Larry and Sergey came up with Backrub, what they called Google before it was named Google. See this page, "Larry and Sergey begin collaborating on a search engine called BackRub. BackRub operates on Stanford servers for more than a year - eventually taking up too much bandwidth."
