Marc Tobias Kunisch posted a picture of one of the hallways at the Google New York City office. If you don't know, the office is massive, absolutely massive. Also, when you go into a massive building in NYC, sometimes you lose your sense of direction. For example, sometimes you rather walk inside to get to 9th avenue versus exiting at the 10th avenue side and having to walk in the 10 degrees (current NY temperature) the whole way to 9th. So these signs help orient you - or at least, they remind you that you are in New York City.
