Most people, by nature, do not like change. I love new tools and playing with new things, but I like consistency and big changes I try to avoid. But also, change can bring really big opportunities. So when I saw the results around most SEOs liking the old Google Search Console over the new one, I was not surprised.
Kristine Schachinger posted a poll on Twitter with over 500 results where 58% said they prefer the old over the new Google Search Console.
Here is that poll:
#SEO Poll. As a whole -- do you prefer the old GSC reports or the new one? And why? #Google #SundayMorning @Google @googlewmc

I am honestly surprised the number is that close. I thought more would say they prefer the old over the new Google Search Console. So in my opinion, I think this is a big win for Google.
