Google's John Mueller responded to a Reddit thread where the webmaster didn't understand why a competitor of his was outranking his site when the competitor had a page speed score of F. Google's John Mueller hosted a 100 or so person pre-SMX Munich talk with SEOs and developers the other day. Valentin Pletzer was there and he shared on Twitter that John Mueller said they do plan on closing down the old Search Console, it might be by the end of this year he said. - Google Knows When Its New Web Rendering Engine Will Be Released But Won't Say
For a long time now, Google has been teasing that they are working on closing the gap between how Chrome renders pages and how GoogleBot renders pages. The web rendering engine Google uses for crawling the web is going to get a lot more advanced but Google won't say when. - Google Ads Grants Program Celebrates 16 Years
Google announced in the Google Ad forums yesterday that the Google Ad Grants program has celebrated their 16th birthday - they've been in operations for 16 years. Over those years, Google has given over $9 billion in free advertising to over 115,000 nonprofits in 50 plus countries. - Google Paint Club
