Here is a recap of what happened in the search forums today, through the eyes of the Search Engine Roundtable and other search forums on the web.
Search Engine Roundtable Stories:
- Google Can Crawl Web Workers That Schedule Work Immediately
Martin Splitt from Google confirmed that Google's crawler, GoogleBot, can indeed crawl and index web workers but only if they don't delay the work. He said if you are using web workers and you want it indexed by Google, you should "schedule your work immediately." - Live: Google 3D Objects With AR Support In Search
It is live - the 3D images in Google search results is now available to searchers. Just open your mobile browser, search for [shark] or other supported 3D objects and click on the "View in 3D" button for that object. - Google: Our Indexing Issues Fully Resolved - Really
If you are still having indexing issues with Google, they are unrelated to the previous Google bugs we reported about says Google's John Mueller. Google had two indexing bugs last week with discovering fresh content and then a month ago, had indexing bugs with removing older content from their index. They had more bugs as well - but if you are having issues after Sunday - that is just normal and not a Google bug. - Time For Google To Update Your Favicon In Search?
I've been covering the favicon change in the search results almost every day since it launched but a new question SEOs want to know is how long would it take Google to update the favicon they display in the mobile search results for your site after you change it. For the most part it seems like most SEOs said it takes around 24 hours, sometimes less. - Google Chrome Omnibox Image Thumbnails In Search Suggestions
I personally have disabled the omnibox search suggestions or autocompletes in Chrome but a bunch of SEOs are saying Google is now showing image thumbnails in those search suggestions. Here are tweets and images from people in the industry that are saying this is new. - Buddhist Monks At Google
Here is a photo from Peter The Greeter at the GooglePlex with 10 Buddhist Monks. It must be the time they come to Google to draw a sand mandala? I am not sure but they've done it numerous times.
