- Google Updates Rules For Displaying Reviews Rich Results In Search Results
Google has updated its rules for how and when it shows the reviews rich results, the review stars, in the Google search results. In short, the new rules are there is now a defined set of schema types for review snippets, self-serving reviews aren't allowed and name of the thing you are reviewing is required. - Google Search Bug Showing Only URLs, No Title Or Descriptions, In Search Results
In the past 24 hours or so, I had numerous reports sent to me that searchers are seeing only URLs for the Google search results snippets. The title and description portion of the snippets were missing. - Google Search Console Datasets Schema Enhancements Report A Year Later
Over a year after Google launched the ability for dataset schema to show up in the Google search results, Google has added reporting around it in Google Search Console. The new datasets schema report is now in the enhancements section for sites that have deployed this schema. - Google AdSense Earnings At Risk Warning - Create Ads.txt File
Google AdSense is now warning some publishers that their earnings are at risk because they have not uploaded an ads.txt file to the site's root domain. Google says "To prevent severe impact on revenue, download an ads.txt file then upload the file to the root level domain of each site." - SEOs Meet Peter The Greeter At Google
This can't be a good thing, I mean, I know Peter The Greeter at Google is very welcoming but SEOs? Here is Peter The Greeter welcoming SEOs, I assume they are SEOs by the t-shirts, at the GooglePlex.
