A few months ago, I covered the topic of how long does it take to rank well in Google. In a Google video on how to hire an SEO, Google said "in most cases, SEOs need four months to a year to help your business first implement improvements and then see potential benefit."
So I asked SEOs, and we received 782 votes on the poll as of Friday, April 14th, when I wrote this story. The vast majority of SEOs, over 90%, said they can achieve SEO success within a year.
Only 13% said they can pull it off within 3 months, while only 3% said it would take longer than 16 months to achieve success.

So I guess this is mostly inline with what Google said in their video.
