This is part of the say something nice about an SEO/SEM series - feel free to nominate someone over here.
Tansy O'Bryant is 48 years old and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her family. She is a true family woman, telling me she has only one regret in life, not having more children. She is one of five, but she did not tell me how many children she has, I know it is more than one.
That being said, Tansy works as the Marketing Director at TriMark Digital. She has over 20 years of experience working in the digital marketing space, and loves the SEO side of marketing. The first search engine she worked with was part of IBM's Intranet.
She speaks publicly at the Catalyst events in Las Vegas and she also does a lot of webinars and seminars around SEO for e-commerce. She is always trying to help people learn how to optimize their web sites and become better SEOs. She isn't too out there in terms of being on social media but she has helped countless people in our industry.
Chris Sciulli, who nominated her, wrote:
She is a master of ecommerce SEO and all things organic. she has literally taught me everything I know about ecommerce SEO and has taken the time to train and mentor several other SEOs in the Raleigh area. before going to Trimark digital, she created the entire SEO department at ChannelAdvisor. She also is active in the community overall.
Tansy O'Bryant Bio: I am one of five kids and a natural people person that arm punches when a friend tells a good joke. I’ve been working in Digital Marketing for the last 20 years and I love it! I have a soft spot for SEO. I’ve optimized websites in 7 Geos and 14 languages. I’ve optimized large enterprise websites such as GSK and Jegs but I also work on small local websites. My newest SEO passion is optimizing Pardot and Eloqua content tests for organic search. I'm a total data sciences nerd and I enjoy bending Google Analytics, SalesForce and CoreMetrics to do my bidding and take over the world.
Favorite thing about the SEM community? SEOs are not afraid to color outside the lines. They are natural innovators. They are never satisfied to just "set it and forget it".
One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Humans were created to be joyful. Remember that when you are optimizing.
Favorite things in general? If you are picky, don't go out to eat with me in a strange city because I’ll try anything.
What you want to be known for in the SEO space? I want to be known for my work throwing out old SEO practices and ushering the new world of SEO for NLP and machine learning.
