Teacher Appreciation Week Google

Today on Google's home page in the United States is a special Google Doodle for US Teacher Appreciation Week.

Teacher Appreciation Week is a national holiday celebrated in United States of America which takes place in the first full week of May.

Google published a blog post thanking the teachers. They said:

This week, Google.org is helping us celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week by honoring what teachers want and need. Google.org is doubling donations to one category of classroom projects every day this week for a total of up to $500,000. These daily categories, like professional development or art, are based on the terms our teachers have searched for most on DonorsChoose.org.

But when you click on the link to find matching projects, nothing comes up on DonorsChoose.org, at least now when I click it I get "We weren't able to find any matching projects."

Just a side note, my company built the backend software for the early version of DonorsChoose.org, it is amazing how much they've grown and how much they have helped teachers and schools do their jobs!
