Vanessa Schneider, the most active Googler in the Google forums I track, is leaving her role as the community manager for Google Places (now Google+ Local) and handing it over to her colleague Jade Wang.
Vanessa is starting in a new role at Google with the Google Earth Outreach team. She posted this announcement in the Google Business Forums and introduced Jade Wang as the person filling her shoes.
Thing is, Jade is just adding this to her job description. She has posted in the forums fairly often prior. I assume she will post more often but not at the rate of Vanessa. It is okay, we were spoiled compared to other Google forums.

We're sad to see Vanessa transition here on the Local team, but we're looking forward to hearing about her continuing adventures. Vanessa, we're keeping an eye out for your cameos in media stories using geo tools! I'm excited to work more closely with the Google and Your Business community. I'll be right here in the forums, but you can also find me on Google+, if you prefer. Looking forward to getting to know all of you.
It is a bit weird being that Vanessa just started doing weekly video recaps about two weeks ago. It seems like this decision was brand new? Either way, I am very excited for her.
You can also see her post on her Google+ page over here.
Congrats Vanessa and Jade!
