This week in search I publish my monthly Google webmaster report, it was a busy month. Google may be updating, there is chatter in the search forums. Rap Genius comes back in the Google ranking after a ten-day penalty. Google updated their link scheme guidelines to allow some links in widgets. Google improved the search query reports adding exact, non-rounded, impression and click data and enabling better reporting on separate mobile sites. Google’s Matt Cutts said they released 665 search changes in 2012. Google is telling publishers to use the del canonical tag for duplicative stories. Google explains what you should do if your content is not 100% unique. AdWords advertisers are claiming they are receiving more refunds for invalid click activity. Gmail released a new feature that lets you email almost anyone without their email. That was this week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
