This week in search, I cover a possible Google update that Google said was unlikely related to Panda or Penguin, so I named it Juno. Google said Penguin will update faster than last time. But said they do not delay updates to mess and bug webmasters. Google added a new feature to crawl locale-aware content better, based on either IP or language setting. Google also supports crawling TLS 1.2. Google is enabling some webmasters to test out the new search queries report. Google is also asking for user experience feedback on Google Webmaster Tools. Google’s mobile snippets may show warnings for blocked content now. Google Analytics added a search queries word count report for AdWords. Google PLAs data should be downloaded asap. Google AdSense is testing a new ad format. Google Analytics added a trash can feature to restore data. Matt Cutts talk at UNC is now available for viewing, it was a good talk. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
