Earlier this week, we reported on more Google algorithm changes with web sites fluctuating in the search results. Google also confirmed they cut down the search results snippets length but added they won’t give us a number on the maximum or minimum length of the snippets. Google said rich snippets are not impacted by this change. Google said personalized search is barely used in search these days. Google Search Console may be getting link data reports soon. Google News is new and with that they dropped support for the stand out meta tag and Editors’ Pick feature. Google has an algorithm to write articles based on your content but it is not used in search. Google expanded job posting schema to more countries. Google said the faster they can crawl your site, the more they can crawl. Google said 15% of all queries are still never seen by Google. Google Posts now officially works with video uploads. Google AdSense revenue emails are wrong and it upsets publishers. Finally, the search community honored Jesse McDonald, Nick Leroy, Mark Scully, Texas Takkar and Andy Drinkwater. Reminder, I am out Monday for a holiday. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
