This week in search, I cover how Google finally confirmed the algorithmic update we reported about at the first of the month. Google also added Twitter data in their mobile results this week, officially. Google’s John Mueller said they are working, again, on making Panda and Penguin run faster. It is interesting watching John Mueller diagnosis algorithmic penalties in real time. Google said there won’t be an automated action viewer any time soon. Google renamed Webmaster Tools to Google Search Console. Google is offering the Search Analytics API to beta testers now. Google released App Indexing and Fetch as Google data in the Google Search Console. Google may have done a mass reduction in rich snippets. Google AdWords launched a new ad format for nearby businesses. Google to ad buy now buttons for consumers to buy directly via Google. Google Maps had a serious Googlebomb issue this week. I announced SMX Israel to be on November 1, 2015. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
