This week in search, we covered how you may be too late to make changes to your site to be ready for the next Google Panda refresh. Google has not yet updated the Panda algorithm and Penguin is still months away. Google did not do a mobile friendly update also. Google has a bug with their reporting for Sitemaps in the Search Console. Google is hiring an SEO guy, you can apply online. Google said they ignore the lastmod data in the XML Sitemaps file. Google is now sending out a new notification for incorrect ahreflang markup. Google changed how often they email you for Google Search Console notifications but wants to survey us to make sure they got it right. Google added a buy it now button to purchase directly through Google Mobile ads in search. Google Map Maker is to reopen in August under community moderation. SearchMetrics added a neat overlay of Google updates to their reports. Did you know Matt Cutts from Google use to go undercover at SEO conference? That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
