Another busy week, I start it off with the monthly Google webmaster report. Google said there is no such thing as an EAT score. Google said you cannot rent experts or specialists to improve your EAT. Google said some day, some where, machine written content might be okay with its webmaster guidelines. Google said content accuracy is a ranking factor, contradicting what it said before. Google said crawl spikes might be about algorithm updates, another contradictory statement. Bing is testing a new content submission API, which means no crawling needed. Google Search Console added two new video reports, for performance and enhancements. Google also sent out video markup Search Console notices. Google core updates are unrelated to bad links. Google said links do not expire. Google said you do not need third party link tools. Google said forcing a crawl to get Google to discover a link won’t help much. Google said the new link attributes are to help Google, not you. Google News now has a stricter bar to get into its index. Google Shopping Ads has user generated images product reviews. Google AdSense Auto ads now easier. Check out the vlog with Britney Muller this past week. This weeks video is sponsored by RankRanger, make sure to subscribe on YouTube to this channel. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
