This week I published the monthly Google webmaster report, do check it out. There may have been a Google search algorithm update today. Google is rolling out the new mobile curved search results interface. Google has changed how they show regional results, no longer does it go by ccTLD. Google now says both pruning and improving content are both valid strategies. Google’s info command has changed, is it a bug? Google says when doing transaction, don’t do it word for word. Google says structured data is not required for rich snippets. Google doesn’t want to depend on structured data or schema, but they need to now. Google says you can use the fetch and submit to get faster indexing for specific pages. Google sent out a survey to the Search Console beta testers. Google started showing emojis in some snippets. They even showed it in an AdWords search term report. Google employees can click on your ads but they don’t cost you anything. Google is testing a search result in the local knowledge card. Google mobile is testing a new look for did you mean. Google News broke all the old RSS feed URLs. Google holds internal search conferences for Googlers. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
