Wissam Dandan is 33 years old, lives with his family in Florida. I've known Wissam for many years now, we spent a lot of time joking around in the chat room while John Mueller would do his weekly webmaster hangouts. Wissam is a super smart marketer, gets the technical aspects of SEO very well and is very into the community and helping out his peers. Those are all ingredients to who qualifies for being honored here.
Wissam runs local meet ups, travels the world to speak at events and is active behind the scenes to help the community. He is a name you may not have heard of, mostly because he doesn't like to be in the spotlight. But he has done a lot to help the industry grow in many respects.
Neal Scott nominated Wissam and wrote:
Through his bimonthly Meetup, Wissam has been helping local businesses and entrepreneurs formulate SEO strategies for 6 years. He freely shares his knowledge without compensation. 6 years ago I began attending Wissam’s Daytona Beach Internet Marketing Meetup. Wissam helped me formulate an SEO strategy for, what would become, my first Internet marketing client. He has continued to teach and advise me over the years. My business has grown and I am very happy to participate in the website/SEO community. Wissam has helped startups up to larger national companies without any expectation of compensation. I wholeheartedly endorse Wissam for recognition.
Wissam was pretty short in answering my questions, mostly, I suspect because he isn't that comfortable talking about his achievements or about himself. So here you go...
