A Cre8asite Forums thread has a small business owner claiming that Yahoo charged him $299 only a few weeks before a service Yahoo is closing down.

He said Yahoo "billed the $299 to the credit card with only 3 weeks to shutdown anyway." He is referring to Yahoo shutting the small business service later this month.

After emailing Yahoo, he did get a refund a week later. But I suspect they may have charged other customers, without them knowing and understanding that the service will no longer be provided by Yahoo.

This small business owner wrote:

They send a notice stating their revamped directory is being ended this month, Sept 30, 015.

They stop their customer logins to the account, from what I can tell.

They don't give the customer any yearly renewal notice as they always have, to say that they will charge the card on the account.

Then, they bill the $299 to the cc with only 3 weeks to shutdown anyway.

Now, can they be trusted to issue a pro-rated refund at the end of the month?
